At the Public Interest News Foundation (PINF) we believe that everyone in the UK deserves public interest news that speaks to them, for them and with them.
The UK's media industry is in trouble, but it's not all bad news.
An emerging class of innovative and resourceful indie publishers is reimagining local news up and down the country. These outlets are the key to making our communities more informed, more democratically engaged, and more connected.
These publishers, however, are unsung, unfunded and underpaid. And we're working to change that.
We're a small organisation with ambitious plans, and we support a collaborative network of indie publishers all around the country to best serve their communities with high-quality and highly trusted public interest news.
We rely on grants and individual donations to carry out our work in research, capacity building and advocacy. (Scroll down for list of funders.)
