The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, a non-profit organization that supports independent global journalism, is seeking applications for innovative data-driven journalism projects that spotlight under reported issues. This opportunity is open to all newsrooms and independent journalists in the US and abroad.

Journalismfund.eu European cross-border grants

This European Cross-Border Grant programme supports professional journalists who have good ideas for cross-border investigations and for research on European topics. In 2021 it will distribute €200,000 over four application rounds.

CIJ Lyra McKee Bursary Scheme 2021

Established in memory of a young and courageous Irish investigative journalist Lyra McKee, this six months bursary scheme aims to train and mentor people from underprivileged backgrounds, who aspire to become journalists or who are at the very early stages of their journalism career.

National Endowment for Democracy Grants

Each year the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) makes direct grants to hundreds of non-governmental organisations worldwide working to advance democratic goals and strengthen democratic institutions.

Journalism Diversity Fund

Administered by the NCTJ, the Journalism Diversity Fund awards bursaries to aspiring journalists from socially or ethnically diverse backgrounds who do not have the financial means to support themselves.
